Chairs - Proud Popa

In researching for this week's chair cards assignment I found an intriguing photograph of T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbing with his iconic Klismos Chair. He looks so much the "proud Papa" - it is rather endearing. The other archive material was also helpful in putting his designs in context of the time period and clientele. Archives of American Art at the Smithsonian Institute is a treasure trove!!
